7 Days In Entebbe

In 1976, a passenger plane bound for Israel was hijacked by Palestinian and German terrorists and diverted to an abandoned terminal at Entebbe Airport in Uganda. As the prospect of a diplomatic solution faded, a troop of Israeli elite soldiers developed a plan. They manage to fly into Entebbe undetected and free almost all the hostages in just 90 minutes. Lieutenant Colonel Yoni Netanyahu, the brother of the future Israeli Prime Minister, is the only Israeli to die in this operation.

The Zookeeper‘s Wife

Poland 1939: the country is occupied by the Nazis. Antonina and Dr. Jan Zabinski are in charge of the Warsaw Zoo, which is severely damaged. At the same time, the Warsaw Ghetto is created, in which hundreds of thousands of Jews are walled in. During the occupation, Antonia and Jan used the zoo to breed pigs to feed the German army. The food for the animals is waste from the ghetto. But along with the waste, Jan also manages to smuggle Jews out of the ghetto with every transport. Antonia and Jan take them in and look after them until they can return to life with false papers. In this way, they manage to save the lives of around 300 Jews at great risk. A true story of warmth, compassion and courage. Exciting and touching!
