VALLEY OF TEARS - GOLAN HEIGHTS
From Mount Bental in the northeastern Golan Heights, one looks far across Syria and the Valley of Tears, so named for the great tank battle in the Yom Kippur War. A landmark of Jewish history, Oz 77 is a battle heritage site on Kibbutz Elrom (Emek HaBacha). Here, a movie theater shows the fascinating story of the battle in 1973 when the Syrian army tried to penetrate the Israeli front line with over 1,000 tanks, being stopped by less than 200 tanks on the Israeli side. A Miracle!
SEA OF GALILEE
The Sea of Galilee is the lowest freshwater lake on earth and is one of the earliest settled areas in Israel.
WORSHIP BOATS - DANIEL CARMEL
A very special experience: going out on the Sea of Galilee on a boat like in Jesus' time and listening to the multilingual worship songs of a Messianic Jew. Enjoy!
MOUNT ARBEL
Mount Arbel rises like a cliff on the western shore of the Sea of Galilee. The circular trail offers beautiful views over the Sea of Galilee, the Golan Heights and the Galilee. At steep heights there are cave dwellings, walls and passages. This is where the followers of the Hasmonean dynasty, who fought against King Herod, are said to have once retreated.
